Vale do Lobo & Villamoura (Portugal)
Where we stayed...
So, I’ve went a good few holidays in my life but NEVER have I had luxury like this!
This area is a little slice of classy boujee heaven💛
The villa gives off Kardashian palace vibes and is perfect for all occasions, we loved having so many options when staying in the villa.
If we wanted to go out and get glammed up?!
Yes gal you go for it!
Sitting on the balcony getting the lashes on and sipping a rosé that was perfectly chilled from the wine fridge (so boujee)
Or, we had the option to have BBQ’s and take aways while chilling out.
We had the added luxury of having cars whilst staying at the villa, this allowed us maximum exploring ability and was useful when we wanted to nip out to supermarkets for shopping.
Overall staying in a villa has changed my outlook on holidays for the better, the freedom of the pool and the options it provides!
Location of the Villa
Vale Do Lobo/Dunas Douradas beach club area offers so much and more, it’s within walking distance to the swanky Golf Club and restaurant.
As well as being Uber friendly to all areas nearby.
You can Uber yourself down to Villamoura if you’re feeling like a night out at the marina, or you stay local and visit some of the cute fairy lite restaurants nearby.
Uber provided an amazing service when we stayed here and I would highly recommend using them, all the drivers were so lovely and we never had any hassle at all.

THINGS TO DO
BJ's Oceanside Restaurant
If you're looking for the most chilled yet exciting, casual yet swanky type of place that also manages to put out the most positive and upbeat vibes in town (beach) then look no further, BJ's is the one!!
When they say Oceanside they truly mean oceanside and it doesn't get much closer than this, from the minute you arrive at BJ's your mind is instantly blown away. As you enter you walk across golden sand to reach the chilled out ultimate beach vibe restaurant.
There are two sides to BJ's (quite literally) in which you can choose to sit which ensures your experience is bespoke to your needs. If you want to be out in the sun next to the sea with live music playing, well you absolutely can, OR, you can sit in another area where the music is quieter and you are slightly more shaded ensuring you have the perfect day which is suitable to you and your party.
On specific days BJ's has a live band playing and oh my these days are legendary, the Whispering Angel is following and everybody in site is just simply having a great time. There is also a fancy dress box which is passed around one and all and allows for some great pictures, sure to make you laugh the next day while you nurse an awful hangover.
As well as being a fun time place BJ's also offers amazing food and if you love fresh seafood - look no further you have found the right place for you!
With all the amazing food they have to offer they have the glorious wine list to match, XXXL sizes of whispering the size of small children are whisked around and just provide that extra special edge to a day. If you're sitting in one of the nicest areas around then you want to have the bottle of wine to match!
Whats a day at BJ's without a magnum of Whispering Angel?!
All in BJ's is everything rolled into one, I personally would class this as an experience more than just a day out for lunch, however, you can attend BJ's on days where there is no live band and just enjoy everything that it has to offer.
No matter when you attend BJ's you will not be disappointed
p.s organising my BJ's outfit is one of my favourite parts of my holiday prep! its casual and comfy wear but I always make sure I'm that little be extra special for a BJ's day - hey if Rochelle Humes from the Saturdays can go to BJ's then so can I!!
TOP TIP
Book in advance - no matter when you are planning to attend wether a live band day or not!
Always book a table and when I say advance I mean advance!
As soon as those flights are booked get your day at BJ's booked, you will not be disappointed I promise!
Drop the BJ's team a message if you are looking to find out what events they have and when, they are super friendly and very social media savvy so the team will make sure you have your perfect day sorted!

IZZYS Beach Restaurant
(located in Vale do Lobo area)
Izzy's is another one of my favourite restaurants, we've been here both for both lunch and dinner and both were delicious!
Izzy's is directly on the beach and the views are just out of this world, you can choose to sit outside and catch some rays or sit inside and be sheltered from the sun - whatever suit you best.
I personally love going to Izzy's for some lunch and celeb spotting, their Chicken Caesar with a large glass of freezing Cold Pinot Grigio is to die for and the perfect relaxing lunch.
There is a separate area which during the day has the perfect view of the beach as well as looking like a little mini beach club area, there are nice seats and tables creating the perfect area for an afternoon of cocktails and chat. While at night the area is covered in fairy lights and perfect for a cute drink and chilling out after a hard day of sunbathing.
Overall I love Izzys and totally recommend visiting.
TOP TIPS
My favourite area to sit in Izzys is through the restaurant and out the back, there are stunning views and the area is just so inviting! I recommend sitting outside in this area, it wont disappoint you!

VILLAMOURA
Villamoura Marina is around a 20 minute drive from Vale do Lobo and in my opinion offers everything you want and more, I've been there with the gals and had a wild night out, I've been down several times with family and we've had a lovely dinner and I've been down for a nice couples dinner and drinks.
Villamoura has the ability to boost about its nightlife in a non-offensive way, there's no hounding about drink offers or visually unpleasing signs offering drinks package yet you know your options are endless for the night ahead.
Its enjoyable to let the night take you where you want it too instead of being harassed by signs and people in the area.
It offers everything you need and more for a night out while still maintaining the classiness and chicness of the Vale Do Lobo, certain restaurants are located directly on the Marina water and you can sit and look out at the water and all the boats that are docked.
A perfect centre area to go for a big night out! (whatever that may mean to you and your party)
TOP TIPS
The main area us stunning and there's so much to catch your eye, but make sure you walk back a few streets and take in all the different places to eat, there's another world past the Main Street and your wallet will thank you!
THE PRAÇA
The Praça is located directly next to Vale Do Lobo, it is a little area directly on the beach that encompasses around 10 restaurants and bars as well as some small shops with fashion and souvenirs.

There are a variety of places to eat from Chinese and Mexican to nice italians and lovely swanky seaside eating spots, Sandbanks is next on my list of where I want to eat at the Praća!
There is also a bandstand in the middle of the area so at night you are able to enjoy nice music and take in all of the amazing views the Praça has to offer.
As well as this directly outside there is a taxi rank to ensure you will always be able to return home safely and without a hassle!
